3. How to use the benchmarking method?
The first step is to determine the purpose of using business email list benchmarking. Is it to look for improvement points or to find good solutions.
The second step is to determine whether benchmarking can be used. Judgment is based on whether someone has solved the problem you encountered.
For example, if you want to determine the after-sales service standards, are there any friends who are doing well? It can be judged by the time of existence of the industry, the feedback of customers and front-line sales team.
The third step is to identify benchmarks and what good experiences you want to learn from them.
Note that benchmarks are divided into external benchmarks and internal benchmarks. External benchmarks are friends and businessmen, or excellent companies outside the industry that can be used for reference; internal benchmarks are colleagues who have solved your problems well.
The fourth step is to verify whether what you have learned is applicable to the business you are responsible for.
For example, I have collected a lot of things that can be improved from friends, but is it suitable for my own customers? Are our customers exactly the same as those of our friends? What do they do well do customers care? Based on the actual situation, conduct sufficient research and verification.
For example, in the example of the drawing tool mentioned above, after finding an alternative tool, we need to design a questionnaire and use it several times to verify whether it is applicable to the actual business scenario.
